New for Christmas 2026: Celestial Stars
Okay, I know. Christmas 2026 in October?
It's early. I understand.
But if you're going to make every single piece of jewellery yourself, you have to start thinking about Christmas rather earlier than most people!
In fact, I have to make up my Christmas ranges earlier every year. And, honestly, the photoshoot for this collection happened in June - I'm not joking.
There was no formal launch, no release party, no dramatic countdown and absolutely no fanfare. That's not really me. I'm much more of one of life's plodders. I quietly make things, test them, tweak them and eventually they are perfect!
So, welcome to the new Christmas 2026 range from The Joyful Rebel.
Celestial Stars
This year, I've gone for something a little less in-your-face Christmas.
Don't get me wrong, I love a Christmas tree. If you want glittering, unmistakably festive earrings, you can absolutely check out my Christmas tree collection.
But I wanted to make something that felt festive without necessarily being something you could only wear in December.
So I went for stars.
I love anything star shaped. In fact, I have a slight problem where I'll start designing something completely unrelated to space and, somehow, it ends up looking like something that belongs in a galaxy.
So perhaps this collection was inevitable.
The new Celestial Stars range includes a statement hoop earring, double and triple drop earrings in two different colourways, and some tiny, dainty star studs that have already proved very popular with my children.
And, as always, every single design has been designed, made and tested by me.
Designing jewellery that actually works
One of the things I probably think about more than I should is whether my jewellery is actually practical.
I'm a mechanical engineer at heart, and I would absolutely hate to design something that wasn't fit for purpose.
I want my earrings to look beautiful, but I also want you to actually enjoy wearing them.
They need to be lightweight. They shouldn't scratch your neck. They need to be comfortable. They need to be sturdy enough to survive being worn regularly.
And, most importantly, they need to work.
This means that testing my jewellery sometimes involves me wandering around doing the school run wearing Christmas trees.
Poor children.
I'm sure they're completely unfazed by it now.
Celestial Star Hoops

The statement hoop is probably my favourite piece in the collection.
It starts with a beautiful marbled grey acrylic with a subtle gold shimmer and larger silver sparkles running through it.
Then I've added mirrored, engraved gold stars alongside painted matte-gold engraved circles.
I really love the combination of textures here.
The mirrored engraved stars catch the light beautifully, while the matte gold details give the design a softer contrast. Together, they add a surprising amount of depth to what is actually a very lightweight earring.
And because the acrylic is marbled, every pair is slightly different.
The pattern isn't identical from one earring to the next, so your pair will have its own individual marble pattern.
The earrings are backed with plywood, which gives the acrylic a really strong and sturdy base without making them heavy.
And the plywood is so smooth.
Honestly, I can't stop touching it.
It's one of those little details that you probably wouldn't notice in a photograph, but makes such a difference when you actually hold the earrings.
And, of course, they're designed to be super lightweight — because statement earrings don't need to feel like statement earrings on your ears!
Green & Grey Marble Stars

Alongside the hoops, I've created double and triple drop versions in two different colourways.
There's the rich green marble version, with its beautiful depth of colour and celestial details, and the grey marble version for something a little more understated.
Both are designed to have that slightly magical, celestial feel without screaming Christmas.
They're the sort of earrings you can wear to a Christmas party, but also wear with your favourite jumper in January.
Tiny Marbled Star Studs
And then there are the tiny stars.
These are the little ones that my children have already been stealing.
They're small, dainty and covered in beautiful marbled colour, with each tiny star having its own individual pattern.
They're a much more subtle way to wear the celestial trend and are perfect if big statement earrings aren't your thing.
Apparently, they're also particularly good for children who enjoy borrowing their mum's jewellery.
Although I'm not sure that's a feature I specifically designed for!
A little bit Christmas, a little bit celestial
So that's the new Christmas 2026 collection.
It's festive, but not overwhelmingly Christmassy.
It's celestial, sparkly and a little bit magical — which, if I'm honest, is probably much more The Joyful Rebel than a traditional Christmas collection anyway.
As with everything I make, these aren't designs I've bought in and put my name on. I designed them, made them and tested them myself.
There might not be a big launch party or a fancy release event, but there is a slightly obsessive amount of thought behind every piece.
So, yes, September is probably ridiculously early to be talking about Christmas.
But if you want handmade jewellery for Christmas, someone has to start making it in June!
Welcome to Celestial Stars — The Joyful Rebel Christmas 2026 collection.
